MEET JOYASH!
Joyash is four years old and growing up in rural Nepal, where joy is abundant and resources are scarce. Her mother works as a day laborer, and her father has passed away. Joyash loves singing at church and dreams of becoming a teacher one day.
Because of your generosity through our year-end Ripple Effect Campaign, Joyash is receiving sponsorship benefits for the very first time this month through the Gap Fund. Starting her sponsorship journey as a preschooler ensures she has consistent access to education, laying a strong foundation so she can pursue her dream.

JUAN MANUEL’S SMILE
Through his early years, Juan Manuel suffered from malnutrition, which led to significant dental issues requiring medical intervention. Even after undergoing those procedures, he was all smiles—grateful simply for the chance to visit a dentist.
Because of consistent nutrition, healthcare access, and the faithful work of his mom as a local market vendor, the trajectory of Juan Manuel’s life, and his family’s future, is changing. These are the ripple effects of your generosity in action. Thank you.
A DECADE OF IMPACT: JEAN BAPTISTE
In 2016, a nine-year-old boy named Jean Baptiste was sponsored in Côte d’Ivoire. Trilingual and full of life, he loved music, soccer, and basketball. After his father passed away, it was difficult for his mother to provide for the family selling vegetables from her garden.
Fast forward nearly a decade.
With consistent access to nutrition, education, healthcare, and discipleship through his local church, Jean Baptiste has become the first Children of Promise student in Côte d’Ivoire to graduate from high school. What’s even more remarkable, he passed the national exams on his first attempt, something only 30–40% of Ivorian students achieve.
Jean Baptiste is one of 307 Children of Promise students who graduated high school in 2025. We are incredibly proud of their perseverance, commitment, and willingness to seize the opportunities sponsorship provided. You skipped stones of generosity in 2025 and doors opened. Thank you.
RIPPLES THAT MULTIPLY: FRANKE’S STORY
In 1997, an eight-year-old boy named Franke experienced the ripple effect of sponsorship firsthand. He later graduated from university and became a teacher.
Today, as a husband and father, Franke is skipping stones of generosity in his own community, pouring into the lives of his students, many of whom are Children of Promise kids themselves.
How many children in Franke’s classroom dream of becoming a teacher one day, just like little Joyash in Nepal?
Because someone skipped a stone of generosity in 1997, Franke’s students have a living example of what’s possible. Thank you.
