BE PART OF THE 15,000 LEADERS MILESTONE
For 34 years, you have helped empower children in some of the poorest communities on earth. Every month, because of you, kids move toward wholeness through nutrition, education, healthcare, and discipleship. These are opportunities that were once out of reach.
But there’s more.
These children are dreamers. When a dreamer is given a seat at the table they never had before, something incredible happens. They become leaders.
You already know that sponsoring a child in poverty can change a life, but when you create a leader, you can change a city— cities like Puerto Asís, Colombia.
LEADERS IN “UNA ZONA ABANDONADA”
Last month, we shared about our trip to southern Colombia. At church, mothers thanked us for visiting them in “una zona abandonada,” a forgotten place.
For years, this small town has been one of the most difficult places we serve. Resources are scarce. Natural disasters are frequent. Many children have witnessed violence in their neighborhoods. Like Jesus’ hometown of Nazareth, some have wondered if anything good could come from Puerto Asís.

But The Children of Promise family knows differently.
Over more than two decades, because of your support, Children of Promise programs in Colombia have become places where leaders are formed. Year after year, against incredible odds, children grow into leaders who bring change to their communities and beyond.
LEADERS LIKE FELIPE
Felipe always had a heart to help others. Maybe growing up surrounded by natural disasters shaped that desire, but he knew becoming a first responder was his dream. Today, in his twenties, Felipe serves as an aeronautical firefighter near Colombia’s border with Venezuela. He protects lives every day.

Others, like Caleb, have gone even farther than they ever imagined.
In Puerto Asís, many people never leave their region, let alone the country. But after completing his training as an electrician, Caleb now works in the Spanish Canary Islands, off the coast of Africa. Even from across the world, he remains deeply grateful for the sponsor and program that helped him get there.
When you invest in a child, stories like these become possible.
If leaders can rise from a small, forgotten town like Puerto Asís, imagine what God can do through 15,000 leaders.
15,000 LEADERS THIS MAY
Children of Promise is approaching an incredible milestone of 15,000 leaders.
This May, you have the opportunity to help reach it.
Our goal is to welcome 100 new children into our programs, a $50,000 target. This creates space for the next generation of leaders to begin their journey.
Leaders like Eimy and Florence.

Both girls dream of becoming doctors. It is easy to picture little Eimy imagining herself in scrubs, a dream that feels impossibly far away. As you have seen, “impossible” changes when God is at work.
Florence’s story shows what is possible.
Growing up in a challenging neighborhood in Kampala, Uganda, Florence entered the program with a dream. Today, she is living it. She is finishing medical school and preparing to become a surgeon who brings healing to her community every day.
This is how your support changes lives.
When you give, you are not just helping a child today. You are starting a journey that leads to transformed lives, stronger communities, and leaders who create ripple effects far beyond what we can see.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something bigger.

Whether you choose to sponsor a child or give toward our $50,000 campaign goal, every gift helps create space for another future leader.
This month, your impact can go even further.
When you increase your monthly support by $10 or more, your first month will be doubled through a special match. This helps reach even more children like Eimy around the world.
Thank you for being part of a story that is far bigger than 15,000 children. Because you made space for them, they are now making space for others in their families, their communities, and across the world.
